From Beverly Van Pelt:
"I'm thrilled to be working with my husband, Patrick R. Golden, in many creative projects including Audio Narration, Acting together on Stage, and as Playwright Partners. Bringing creative work to the forefront of our lives has enhanced our relationship and given voice to our Romantic hearts.
"We have recently restructured our office to better accommodate our professional recording needs. Patrick brings his years of experience as a music professional to design a recording studio for our Audio Narration work and music recording. As voice actors and producers, we are able to extend our offerings with music and sound effects.
"Having just come off of the recent Paper Wing Theatre's production of Salome, Patrick and I have once again been cast together in a play set to open in December. And once again, I will be the Costume Designer. The announcement will be forth-coming in the next week or so...
Also happening right now, Patrick has completed his LA Noir adaptation of "The King in Yellow". As I read I read through it, I can't help but admire his organic sense of sardonic humor and attention to detail. Even the detail in his stage direction fills one with the understanding of the surreal and grotesque world of the characters.
"What's next for "The King in Yellow"? Well, I'm nearly finished with the proof reading, and Koly Bride, owner and Producer from Paper Wing Theatre is anxiously awaiting the first read. From there, we hope to be invited to the Paper Wing Fremont "Read Thru" series - a series of public readings of new and unproduced manuscripts - that serves as a focus group for the script. These are exciting times for both of us.
"In many ways, we are just coming into own... together. These joint projects are still primarily individual productions - with help and support from the other. And we see, more and more, how all of our projects interweave into a continuously artistic lifestyle. Individually, we still have our separate interests as well -- Patrick with his music career and graphic design work, and me with my costume / fashion designs and Foodie focus -- making for a much more satisfying daily life when all of these comes together.
"I never knew how great life could be until I banished fear from my creative conscience, and that was, in large part, inspired by Patrick and our son. Our pre-teen baby boy said to me, 'Just relax, Mom! You've been practicing your whole life for this. Enjoy it!" Out of the mouth of babes, eh?! Well, suffice it to say, we're all having a great time putting ourselves out there, following our dreams, having faith, accepting belief, loving each other, and changing the world from within."

One of the joys of Halloween is the Art of Carving. I’ve been known to demonstrate pumpkin speed carving, but my FAVORITE carving projects are the whimsical shrunken apple heads that I make. These little guys lasted from September of one year to December of the next, and as…
This magical tree, verdant and very alive, dwells amongst the redwoods and pines of the Boy Scout Reservation at Camp Pico Blanco in Big Sur, California. Nature has such a way about it. If you allow yourself, you will feel it’s life vibrating beneath your feet, in the whisper…
Mutton on the Moors, Mission Ranch, Carmel, CA Location Scouting — I do this at the stage when I need some juice to bring my script alive. Whether it’s the missing element of interaction between characters and the environment, or filling in for the complete absence of background description,…
OK Gang! I am now able to tell you what’s been going on in my life. My new motto is “FEAR NOT!” and that served me well as I applied to be on Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race” for this season. As I sent the email,…
Wild Turkeys in Monterey, California Much to the chagrin of other drivers, I break for Wild Turkeys! There is something so fascinating to me about these creatures, and I love to watch them as they feed and move and plume their tail feathers. I took this photo one day as I…

I was honored to attend Adam Leipzig’s workshop, Inside Track for Independent Filmmakers Carmel, CA–Inside Track for Independent Filmmakers, February 16, 2013 The sun was out in Carmel and one might have been tempted to lounge the day away in the quiet village, unless that someone was an Independent…
I wanted to do something special for my Sweetie, but I hadn’t planned anything in advance. No problem! Cereal, coffee, bacon, and Cutie oranges are a simple way to say, “I Love You!” Here I served them on a large serving platter for a nice unifying theme.
Monterey Tribe U13 Lacrosse boys played hard at the Fair Oaks Tournament on 03/02/2013. Afterward, they headed to UC Berkeley to watch the Cal Bears Mens Lacrosse team battle it out against Sonoma. In this photo, the Monterey Tribe U13 Lacrosse boys are watching as the Cal Bears Mens Lacrosse…
Look what I found! It’s my Bruce Campbell Poster from his appearance in Santa Cruz, CA in 2004. It was great meeting him and he is delightfully funny! Of course, since then I have become a devoted “Bruce Campbell Fan”. You can follow Bruce Campbell on Twitter: @GroovyBruce. He posts…
